Igor Mirnov: Confident and Ambitions

Some say regarding Dynamo School’s graduate Igor Mirnov: " He is not as much talented, as he is a hard worker. He started to develop largely because of his attitude" . However, not many are aware, that in his day Igor became the hockey school’s record holder. At the age of 14 he scored 64 goals in one season. How can someone achieve such a mark on just work ethic?! Four years later, his record was broken by his younger brother, Alexei Mirnov, who scored 69 goals! They are true talents and nothing less.

I. Mirnov: I am very stubborn and if I set a goal for myself, it’s difficult to stop me. I will use all my strength to achieve it. So far, for the most part I’ve been successful.
It’s too bad that for the second year in a row you do not get the chance to play at the U20 WJC. In December of ’02 you tore a knee ligament and exactly a year later, you suffered the same injury. Luck just isn’t on your side
