Atlant Mytischi gets a lot from Andrei Zubarev (Atlanta Thrashers) (Atlanta Thrashers) in the playoffs' start

The KHL playoffs started only a couple days ago, but some players already have been valuable to their teams. Andrei Zubarev (Atlanta Thrashers) is among these: if his regular season has been a bit up and down, with many healty scratches, in the playoffs he's really delivering. In the first game of the series between his Atlant and Traktor Chelyabinsk, Andrei served two assists in the third period as they won 3-0. Firstly he launched Alexander Korolyuk with a great breakout pass for the 2-0 goal, plus he caused the third goal as his blue line slap shot was converted into a goal by Alexei Glukhov after a save by Daniil Alistratov.

The second game has been even better for Atlant. Even if they haven't shut out the opponents, they sent to the score sheet all the four lines finishing the match 5-1. Evgeny Gladskikh (Vancouver Canucks) opened the dancing early in the first period, but Canadian Pierre Dagenais tied it up with a deflection goal. The rest of the game has been an Atlant's solo. Midway through the second period Mozyakin scored the go-ahead goal, then one minute later Andrei Zubarev (Atlanta Thrashers) with a beautiful slap shot from the blue line made it 3-1. Zubarev is playing really well, logging quality minutes playing paired with Evgeny Bodrov, who assisted him in this marker.

In the first period, on a powerplay, Alexander Bumagin (Edmonton Oilers) scored his first playoff goal with a laser wristshot that got in in near the far post. The score has been closed by Alexander Boikov. Atlant is playing really well in this start of the playoffs and it's one of the few players who regular ice youngsters. Alexander Bumagin (Edmonton Oilers), Anton Lazarev, Andrei Zubarev (Atlanta Thrashers) and Evgeny Bodrov all averaged very good ice time under the coaching of Leonid Kanareikin.
