Super League - Darius Kasparaitis (New York Rangers) seriously injured Lokomotiv forward Konstantin Rudenko (Philadelphia Flyers) during the third games of the Super League quarterfinals between HC SKA and Lokomotiv. The young forward collided with Kasparaitis, who appeared to have raised his shoulder to hit Rudenko in the head. The result was a broken jaw and a concussion for Rudenko, who needed help to be carried off the ice. He is out of hockey for at least 6 weeks and will not be able to talk until after the surgery, will should take place later this week.
