12/22/2009 Mikhail Fisenko added to WJC roster

U20 World Junior Championships -  19 years old center Mikhail Fisenko, playing for the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, has been added today to the WJC roster for Team Russia. Most likely he's going to take the spot of third line center as the team is a little bit thin in this position after the loos of Andrei Loktionov (Los Angeles Kings) due to an injury and Evgeni Grachev (New York Rangers), which wasn't released by his NHL team.
12/15/2008 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge Game 5 - WHL Selects trash Team Russia

U20 ADT Can-Rus Challenge -  Russian coach Sergei Nemchinov has to change lines once again as the OHL guys can’t play in these last two games. Because of that the first line is made up of Kagarlitsky, Klyukin and Evgeni Dadonov (Florida Panthers), the second features Dubrovsky, Pavel Chernov and Nikontsev, the third Artem Yarchuk , Komaristy and Vadim Ermolaev, the fourth Mikhail Fisenko and Menshikov, plus a spare from the other lines. The starting goalkeeper remains Sergei Gaiduchenko (Florida Panthers), it seems that Alexander Pechursky (Pittsburgh Penguins) could not get Nemchinov’s trust in the unique chance he got. Draft Rankings and Comments:
Rank 1: #12
Rank 2: #18 Ranking Comments:after being overlooked in last year’s draft, the Magnitogorsk native has moved to America and is having a strong season in the WHL – the toughest Canadian junior league. He is currently in the top-20’s scoring race and that is even more impressive when considering that he missed ten regular season matches because of injuries. The talented center has a bit of an advantage over other Russian players as he’s already in America and has showed his willingness to do what it takes to be drafted.
