11/12/2010 Bobkov stands tall in loss

U18 World Junior Championships -  If Igor Bobkov (Anaheim Mighty Ducks) makes the Russian world junior team again, his London Knights mask is travelling with him. "No Russia mask," the 19-year-old said with a grin. "The London one is the only one." And right now, the Derrick Gilders-crafted headgear with the big green 'Bob' painted across the chin is in a lot better shape to make the Buffalo trip. In his best performance to date on John Labatt Centre ice, Bobkov kicked aside 46 shots in a 4-0 loss to the mighty OHL team full of Canadian world junior hopeful before 3,292 in Game 3 of the Subway Super Series Thursday. 12/29/2009 Russia skates past Finland

U20 World Junior Championships -  Thanks to a great performance by goalie Igor Bobkov (Anaheim Ducks) and a couple of moments from Nikita Filatov (Columbus Blue Jackets), Plyuschev's Team Russia got the best of the Finns with a minimal effort. In spite of a 46-saves shut out Bobkov hasn't been named player of the match, honors that instead went to Filatov. After this 2-0 victory Russia is now on the top of the standings staying perfect, with Sweden, who has got 6 points too. The teams are going to meet tonight.
