RussianProspects.com has learned that Alexander Radulov (Nashville Predators) twisted his ankle during practice after the second game of the U20 WJC tournament. As we mentioned in our game notes from the tournament, the young forward appeared to be slowed down by some sort of an injury in the latter games, and did not look as effective as he did during the Canada/Russia Challenge just a month earlier. While Radulov did skate for Quebec in a regular season game yesterday, he will see a doctor today and may miss several games recovering.
Team USA beats Sweden 8:2 in quarterfinals, will meet Russia in semifinals
Russia lost to Team USA in the first game of the tournament with the final score of 5:4. Unfortunately for the US, Russia's defense in that game was lacking, while US was playing well.
Russia beat Sweden 6:1 last night in an exhibition game. Alexander scored two goals for Russia. Enver Lisin (Phoenix Coyotes), Alexander Galimov, Roman Voloshenko (Minnesota Wild), and Alexander Nikulin (Ottawa Senators) each also added a goal.
The following are the training camp lines of the Russian Squad that is preparing
for the U20 World Junior Championships. The squad is currently fielding 15 forwards
on five lines. Since the training camp is in Russia, defenseman Roman Tesliuk
(Edmonton Oilers) and right wing Alexander Radulov (Nashville Predators) are
yet to join the Russian squad.
